Fantastic

Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic

July 20, 2005

Fantastic is a machine recommeded by Jeffery Neuman, noted pinballogist. It was part of a three machine deal with Jim and Ron of Pinball Revival in Novato, CA. This was the first machine, it cleaned up nicely and came to life easily. The bottom bumper is very important in this game; used correctly it makes the game. When Jeff played it, the bumper wasn't up to snuff. It has since been repaired and awaits your futile attempts to conquer her. It is a formidible machine, in fact, I would say that this is the hardest machine in the Ju Ju with Fireball 2nd. It is the kind of Artwork that in one sense, makes me embarrased to know that Christian Marche did it. However, in lieu of it's 70's plasticized cheeziness, it is about French Decadance and impending revolution, all gussied up in fancy dresses and "Classical" musicians. And that is something that only a Frenchman can know, so, it's got to be accurate at least.
The play on this machine is Weird. It has a roulette wheel built into the center of the field, triggered by 3 saucers that spin it. Whatever it dishes out can make or break your game. It can run the bonus up to the max and the next spin could be collect "triple bonus" giving you 30K or add a star. You need 3 stars to get an extra ball so that's not much. The only way to collect bonus is thru the spin so there. This machine deserves some serious play, the under flipper hole wil drive you nuts at first, and then again later. It is a fast William's machine and this one is more unforgiving than most. Check the flyer for specs.
