Space Odyssey

Space Odyssey

March 23, 2005

Another space-themed tribute to science from the good people at Williams. In fact, it is one of the rare acknowledgements to the Soviet/American endeavor to build two separate space vehicles that could dock in space. The 2 teams working independently, managed to fabricate mating male and female apparatus to successfully allow the astronauts and cosmonauts to meet in orbit. UPDATE: 2004, May 11th, Back in the Ju Ju...we'll see how she does...Another artistic triumph for Christian Marche, (Boy did he do a lot of Pin Art) this is also a fun machine to play. It has a layout akin to “Monaco” with a moving target, spinner, bonus, double bonus, extra ball and special. The main difference is the kick-out pockets which aim the ball at the moving target which can be bothersome in some instances. Play is fairly obvious and can pick up speed like any Williams machine. This is one of two that I picked up in the Benicia deal and a real keeper. Always a favorite with the Ladies, it is not a game to sniff at.

Produced by Williams, 1976. 2 players. 7.0 out of 10 on the Play-O-Meter

High Score 298,000 by Johnny B on June 05, 2004
