Royal Flush
March 23, 2005
This is one of the games from the first batch I bought from Sally Baldwin in Benicia, December of 2002. I was looking for multiple games to buy so I could try my hand at making my own machines and this was one of the singles. More about that later… It was Mylar’d and not working and although I tried hard I had to call in Michael Scott, world-famous EM pinball repairman to get this one going. And get it going he did! This is one of the all-time favorites at Lucky Ju Ju. It is a Magic/Card theme with an asymmetrical play field, 9 drop targets with 3 secondary targets, bonus based on card hand and kick-out hole special. The way it works is: each drop target scores the hole special when hit; the hole special is always 1000 points Plus 1000 pts. for each of the 3 Jokers you’ve lit for a maximum of 4000 pts. per drop target. The Jokers therefore are the primary goal, They are located on the 3 lanes and in 3 targets on the playfield, colored Green, White and Pink. Lighting all three also lights the kick-out hole for Special. After you’ve knocked down some cards and drain the ball, the bonus counter gives you different bonus based on what hands you got. There’s even more to the game, but that’s the gist of it. It gives a double bonus on last ball only. A very hard game to beat. A 9.5 on the playometer.
Produced by Gottlieb, 1976. 4 players. 9.5 out of 10 on the Play-O-Meter
High Score 204,960 by Scott on January 17, 2004
